2. Teacher Aides (Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children, EIPIC)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in lesson planning, classroom preparation and teaching in classes
  • Assist teachers in conducting assessments, implementing strategies, monitoring progress and evaluating goals for students
  • Assistant teachers in implementing effective classroom management strategies
  • Collaborate and partner parents / caregivers in each student’s learning journey

Therapist
1. Occupational Therapist (Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children, EIPIC)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapy for young children (0 to 6 years) with special needs
  • Assess occupational performance needs of young children with special needs
  • Deliver therapy services either by direct therapy, consultation with teachers and
    parents, collaboration with teachers and parents, or by monitoring of child’s progress.
  • Work closely with intervention team in areas of assessment, goal development, intervention strategies and progress monitoring in a trans-disciplinary setting.
  • Maintain documentation on clients’ progress.
  • Conduct in-service and parent workshop talks.

Requirements:

  • MUST possess Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy from
    an institution recognized by the Ministry of Health under the Allied Health Professions Act.
  • Have obtained Full Registration with Allied Health Professions Council
  • Preferably with 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience

3. Physiotherapist (Home Care Services)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional assessment for patients during home visits and periodic reviews
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary discussion with the homecare team
  • Institute an appropriate and effective patient therapy treatment
  • Formulate and implement the right modality therapies based on patient’s medical condition
  • Evaluate interventions with appropriate outcome measures
  • Provide consultation and expertise and refer to other healthcare professionals when necessary
  • Collaborate with the homecare staff in clinical risk management of patients
  • Assist with discharge planning and recommend right discharge therapy programme
  • Document and maintain medical records of patients
  • Maintain clinical standards regulated by MOH
  • Maintain proper use of equipment and facilities

Requirements:

  • Graduated with a recognised a degree from a local/overseas tertiary institution
  • At least 2 years experience in a healthcare setting
  • Registered in Physiotherapy with the Allied Health Professions Council of Singapore
  • Able to communicate with English and Chinese speaking clients
  • Preferably proficient in various dialects to interact with the elderly
4. Occupational Therapist (Home Care Services)

Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for assigned caseload
  • Assess and provide appropriate treatment to clients with neurological problems, orthopaedic or musculo-skeletal problems, amputees, cardio-respiratory conditions, other medical conditions and de-conditioned patients who require rehabilitation
  • Provide pain relief through electro-physical agents such as hot and cold therapy, and other evidence based therapies
  • Provide home assessments and provide advice on home modifications as required
  • Prepares clients for community integration by taking them for community outings prior to discharge
  • Maintain accurate and proper documentation of initial assessments, treatment goals and plans and clients’ progress
  • Prescribe necessary appliances/aids for clients’ optimum function
  • Provide caregiver’s training as required
  • Participate in all clinical and documentation audits
  • As a member of an interdisciplinary team, establish and maintain a working liaison with homecare staff, giving feedback on clients’ progress, client care conferences and reviews
  • Provide clinical coverage for other occupational therapists when the need arises
  • Supervise therapy assistants/health attendants during client interventions to ensure established levels of safety and professionalism are met
  • Manage and submit daily statistics on time on rehabilitative progress reports
  • Responsible for the use of therapy equipment and to report any faults that may arise
  • Continuing education through CME talks, via internal/external training
  • Participate in community outreach programs/ talks and workshops to public and community
  • Assist in training programs for therapy assistants

Requirements:

Research Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs assessment surveys with households
  • Collate needs assessment data
  • Support in project coordination and administration
Requirements:
  • Diploma in any discipline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in English and an additional language (Mandarin, Malay or Tamil)
  • Willing to go on-the-ground to collect data
  • Need to be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced setting
  • Able to work on some evenings and Saturdays when required
  • This position is on 1 or 3 month(s) contract basis
