"W.A.I.T" is an acronym for “Why Am I Tempted?” It is a top-rated and specially designed youth programme from the United States that focuses on abstinence education. WAIT offers ideals, high expectations and insights on the development of true intimacy in relationships to youths. The primary message behind this programme is to move teens towards the achievement of ideals, to set desirable goals for themselves, and to aid them to grow emotionally, spiritually and intellectually at a healthy pace.
WAIT is founded on a community model of prevention, which seeks to involve parents, teachers, faith communities etc., so as to provide youths with a character-based love and sex education.
